He was a great son of India. He was an educationist, an enlightened philosopher and a true patriot. There was something god-like in him. His restless soul kept struggling for a better scheme of things. His life was an endless journey in the unknown region of the soul. With his unshakable faith in the essential goodness of man, Sri Grover was a lover of humanity. A true follower of Swami Dayanand, loyal and devoted worker of DAV Movement and dynamic leader of his movement in eastern India and an apostle of selfless service.
Shri N.D. Grover was an epitome of all human qualities. He adopted life membership of D.A.V. movement in 1957. He even went to jail for participating actively in Hindi Satya Graha led by Shri Bhagwan Das, the then principal of DAV College, Ambala. He became the founder principal of D.A.V. College, Abohar in 1960. He took the challenge of setting-up and managing DAV Public Schools in Eastern Zone of India and became successful in opening as many as over 200 DAVs in the areas of Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal and Sikkim.
